The national airline of Sri Lanka announced on March 15 that a sabotage occurred on one of the Airbus-selling aircraft in just three days. The event prompted more flight patterns and raised concerns about the investors’ expectations for the future and the need to save the company, according to AFP.

The passenger was delighted to see Sri Lanka Airlines’ aircraft arrive and depart from Lahore, Pakistan. The airline had to carefully check if this was indeed one of the aircraft’s essential components.

A representative of the airline said that although the aircraft and pilot remained in contact during the flight, the interruption disrupted the schedule and affected other flights.

“The aircraft was blocked for three days in Colombo and could not be released until Sri Lankan Airlines confirmed that the missing body had been located,” the responsible party stated. She clarified that the deceased rozător was discovered.

The airline company, whose cumulative losses at the end of March last year amounted to $1,8 billion USD, does not have the funds to pay the mandatory revizia of its motors, which have only been in operation for three years out of the twenty-three aircraft on its roster.

Successive governments have failed to sell Sri Lanka Airlines, with one of them even attempting to reduce the value of a dollar to nothing.

Minister of Aviation, Nimal Siripala de Silva, told reporters that the covert operator runs the risk of experiencing “puţinii investitori” who are still interested.

This company is one of those that the World Bank has designated as critical to the country’s budget. The World Bank helped save Sri Lanka in 2023 by providing a $2.9 billion loan over a four-year period.
